With a friendly small-town population of 6,765, Pocahontas is the seat of Randolph County, which also includes the inccorporated towns of Maynard, Biggers, Reyno, Ravenden Springs and O'kean. Pocahontas offers a wide range of recreational possibilities. In total, five differerent Rivers run through Randolph County, making the possibilities for good fishing and canoeing in clear, clean waters almost endless. There are also many areas around the county to enjoy great hunting of all sorts.
As the seat of Randolph County, Pocahontas is located 45 minutes north of Jonesboro on the banks of the Black River. Also Pocahontas is within 6 hours drive from Springfield, Tulsa, Little Rock, Memphis, and Jackson, Tn. We have a wide range of higher education as well as some of the best schools in the state.
